Roo Dandy rejoined our herd in the fall of 2012 after being on lease to the Myers Creek herd for the past few years. When Dandy was born, we knew that we would want to use him in our herd, however we would need to wait a few years since we were currently using his sire, Perfect Storm. Now, a few years later, we have a strong line-up of does to breed him to and are eager to see what he produces for us. His first daughter in our herd, SG LakeShore Dandy Kaiya 4*M, easily earned her dry leg in 2013 and also received a Best-In-Show win. Kaiya freshened with a beatiful mammary and has been 3x1st place when shown as a yearling milker this year.
His dam, SGCH Lakeshore Farms Dandy Tangaroo 4*M, descends from one of strongest and longest lived dam lines that originated with SGCH Lakeshore Farms T.P. Lacey. We are very excited to have been able to bring Endeavor back into our herd after having leased him for part of the 2011 breeding season! His first kids born into our herd were amongst some of our favorites, including LakeShore Be Riveting 7*M 2-05 EX90 (EVVE), who is a young doe who has had a successful show season. Another daughter, Branicur Endeavor Emma, recently linear appraised 3-03 EX91 (VVEE). His daughters tend to be tall, long and level over the topline with smoothness of blending throughout and strong feet and legs, with improved teat placement, strength of medial, and fore udder extension.
Endeavor's dam, Exotic Storm, is a direct descendent from one of our strongest and most consistent dam lines, and she herself is a promising up and coming doe in our herd. At the 2009 National Show, Exotic was 6th place Milking Yearling and in 2008 she was 5th place Intermediate Kid. Her daughter, CH LakeShore DP Exotica (EX92), was Junior Champion and Best In Show as a senior yearling and finished her championship as a three year-old. Endeavor's sire, CH *B Lakeshore Farms Bold Equasion (Bo), is a descendent from our other most recognized dam lines and his littermate sister, Lakeshore Farms Antigua 3*M, is the dam of the 2011 ADGA Reserve National Best Udder, GCH Blissberry F Aloha 4*M. With this strong family line, it is no wonder that "Bo" is also producing outstanding mammaries in his daughters with strong medials, correct teat size and placement, high and nicely arched rears with well extended and smoothly blended fore udders.
Endeavor's son, CH LakeShore No Need To Rush, sired the 1st place Junior Get-Of-Sire at the 2014 ADGA National Show. He also sired the Reserve Junior National Champion, Hoanbu LR Dancing Downtown. Perfect Storm is a very large and powerful buck being upstanding in the front end with length of body, levelness of topline and is smoothly blended throughout. Not only does he descend from our of our strongest dam lines, but he is also a repeat breeding of SGCH Lakeshore Farms Summer Storm 5*M (EX92), a doe whom we admire greatly. His maternal granddam, SGCH Lakeshore Farms EX Sierra 3*M (EX92), was 1st place Two Year-Old in 2001 and 1st place 5-6 Year-Old at the 2005 ADGA National Show. His dam, SGCH Lakeshore Farms Sierra Storm 4*M (EX90), was 1st place Four Year-Old at the 2004 ADGA National Show and his full sister, SGCH Lakeshore Farms Summer Storm, is the 2004 ADGA Junior National Champion and 1st place Two Year-Old at the 2005 ADGA National Show. Other maternal sisters include: GCH Lakeshore Farms Light'N Storm 5*M (EX91), SGCH Lakeshore Justa Rainey Storm 5*M (VG89), SG Lakeshore Justa Autumn Storm 5*M, SG Lakeshore Exotic Storm 5*M (VG89), and LakeShore Simply Irresistible. His sire, +*B Lakeshore Farms Doctor Luke (EX90), has been a phenomenal sire in our herd having sired the 1st place Senior Get -Of-Sire at both the 2005 and 2008 ADGA National Shows.
We haven't been able to use Perfect Storm as much as we would have liked since he is so closely related to several does in our herd. However, the daughters that we have from Perfect Storm have been amongst some of our favorites. They are strong and correct in general appearance, with quite a bit of strength, levelness and balance, combined with lovely breed character. One of his daughters in our herd, GCH AG Farms PS Lady Gaga, is an exciting yearling milker who has been 5x1st and 2x2nd when shown in 2011.
At the 2009 ADGA National Show he sired both the 5th place Intermediate Kid and the 6th place Junior Kid, and at the 2011 ADGA National Show he sired the 4th place Junior Kid. One of his sons, *B Lakeshore PS Tropical Storm 1-05 91 (EEE), sired the 2nd place Junior Kid at the 2009 ADGA National Show.
